Company Overview

Motive Capital Corp (“MOTV”) is a special purpose acquisition company formed for the purpose of effecting a merger, stock exchange, asset acquisition, stock purchase, reorganization or similar business combination with one or more businesses. Our business purpose is to identify fintech investment opportunities. More specifically, we focus on infrastructure-like software and information services companies serving the financial and business services sectors, generally headquartered in North America and Europe.

MOTV is sponsored by affiliates of Motive Partners, a fintech specialized private equity firm. Motive Partners is comprised of a group of financial services and technology industry experts led by our Executive Chairman, Rob Heyvaert, who have collectively led or been involved in more than 80 significant investments or M&A transactions in our sector.

We believe the background and experience of Motive Partners will allow us to source, identify and execute an attractive transaction for our shareholders. Motive represents a focused team of c.70 professionals in New York and London with extensive investment, operating and innovating experience in financial technology.

Motive approaches each investment opportunity by ensuring close collaboration between three core capabilities that underpin the Motive platform: Investing (Motive Investment Team), Operating (Motive Industry Partners) and Innovating (Motive Create & Labs Team). In identifying our target, we will apply the due diligence standards required by Motive’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) policy and as such aspire to combine with a company that combines attractive business fundamentals with, or with the potential for, strong ESG practices consistent with those followed by Motive Partners.
